About TEKU Library


Teofilo Kisanji University library is an academic library meant to serve academicians who are students during their learning process and the academic and non-academic staff to facilitate their teaching and research activities. Apart from students and academic and non-academic staff, the university library also serves external users (those who are not our University students or staff).

Mission of the Library


To meet learning and teaching, research and outreach information needs for sustainable social-economic development of the university and the country at large.

Services Provided


  •   Teofilo Kisanji University Library comprises of the “Main Library” and one specialized unit termed as “Special Library” located at the ground floor of the University library to allow physically disabled users to access all required library resources.
  •   The Library also boasts of a special collection of information resources, consisting of the University archives, Africana and Moraviana materials, manuscripts and photographic materials (all found in Africana, Moraviana and Archives section on the first floor of the Library). The library collections are accessible through its Online Catalogue. The Library also provides web-based access to a broad variety of electronic databases viewed as abstracts and full texts.

  •   Monday - Friday: 8:30 - 22:00 hours.
  •   Saturday: 9:00 - 18:00 hours.
  •   Sunday: CLOSED.

Vacation Hours


  •   Monday - Friday: 8:30 - 21:00 hours.
  •   Saturday: 8:30 - 21:00 hours.
  •   Sunday: CLOSED.
